The Taniwha

A long time ago in a cave there lived a mean taniwha. He was the meanest taniwha of all. He was also evil and dangerous.

When people went fishing he kept toppling their boats over and many fishermen drowned.

Everyone in town heard about the terrible taniwha Then some men had an idea to capture the taniwha and teach him how to be good.First they had to cut a tree down and make a cano Then they got a net and and put it under the water .Two of the men held on to the rope .Thir plan wasnt complete They had to buy a delicious piece of meat and put it in the net .The smell from the meat would catch the taniwhas attention.The taniwha jumped out of his cave.He didnt notice the net .The two men saw him and got ready .When he was in, the two men tighted the rope .The taniwha strugled trying to escape but the rope was to strong for him.

He was taken to a zoo The zookeeper had an idea how could the taniwha be good and useful. After seventeen days he was verey good and useful.The zookeeper told the men who captured him to set him free. From that day on people could swim and fish from thir boats again.
