The message that Dr Seuss is giving to the readers in The Lorax is about our responsibilities.The Once-ler did not care for the environment because all that the Once-ler ever wanted was money and to become rich.When the Once-ler cut down the truffuia tree the Ba-ba-loots food surply was getting very low because the Once-ler was making a thing called a thneed. As he grew richer and richer he bulit bigger factores.Smoke came out of the factores and the sky tured a gray colour.The sky was no longer blue and the sky was polluted and sadly the swoome-swans could not sing anymore.The Once-ler put all the dirty rubishi from his factores into the pound and the poor Humming-fish had to leave there homes to find clean pounds.Unless I put my rubishi and other drity things into the rubishi bin to crate  I will not leave rubbish on the groun for the next generat`ion and it will not be a untidy world again.

This  is what I think about  our egg drop experiment.

The good part was when the parachute fell down to the ground.

We found out that all  the eggs cracked.

Next time we do this experiment we are make a bigger parachute with a bigger canopy.

The Pesky Taniwha

The Pesky Taniwha.

A long time ago I remember a story about a Taniwha.He was Sly,a bully and wicked. He lived in  the Tamaki Estuary. I don't want to ever meet him in my nightmares. He looks scary to me.

One night my class and I planned to catch the persky taniwha. It was well known for toppling the fishing boats. We would catch it and make it the school pet.

I bought a fish net to catch the taniwha but the taniwha snapped the fish net. I got a stronger net at another shop. Our class caught the taniwha. We bought a pool so the taniwha could live in it.

What I think of my first tapa design

I like my tapa design because I used the diamond shapes and koru to design the shapes.
I am going to do it better next time.
