Room 5 is a Year3/ 4 class of 29 awesome pupils.
This year we will share many of our learning activities on our class blog and we look forward to reading what other classes are doing as well.
Thank you for sharing your stories with us Room 8. Some of you have had some tough journeys to New Zealand. We are so lucky to live in a beautiful, safe country where we are free to retain some of our own cultural identity. Great movie!
Hi room 8 I liked your film festival movie that your class made I liked how you guys told us why your parents came to New Zealand your parents all had different story's of why they wanted to come to New Zealand.
Hi Room 8 Your stories about moving to New Zealand are really interesting. I moved to New Zealand because in China parents were only allowed one child since there was too many people living in China so my parents moved to New Zealand. I like the song in the End. By Harry

Thanks You for sharing your stories room 8. Why My dad had to move from Niue because We could not afford food we tried to come to new Zealand in a small boat we had to wait for a year until we could come. We could Only have 5 people on the boat so my papa stayed behind. The Boat Nearly Sinked.
Wow some of those are very scary journeys to NZ especially for Salujan. My parents came to NZ to look for a job and left the other two older kids at Kiribati and had us and stayed in NZ for better education.

Thank you for telling us your stories of how you ended up in New Zealand. The war must have been very scary. Luckily in New Zealand it is safe and even if you run out of money you can simply apply for some which is not available in other countries.

Hi room 8, thanks for sharing your stories. It sounds very hard, your very lucky to get here to New Zealand. Some people don't even get here, some get sent back to there born countries and never get out of the war and fighting. Amazing Moive room 8!

Hi Room 8, I was very impressed with your journey's because they sounded very scary and hard to go through at the same time! In 2005 I came to NZ. Some of my family members were in the Tampa boat too and it nearly sank. We had to stay in a refugee camp for a year. Astonishing movie!

I really like the way that Sanujan and his mum had participated in this movie really well. It is also good to see everyone trying different things t eat specially handling different tastes. I really like the way that Angari spoke with a clear voice and everyone knew there parts off by heart.
