One day our class wanted a fish as our class pet . We went to the Fish Shop to buy the fishing gear . Then we went to the Tamiki river to catch our fish . we waited patiently and my rod began to shake. My whole body shook because I caught a taniwha  . It could talk . It said "Can I be your pet in class ? "I said , " yes ! " We went back to class and put it in a large tank . It would make monkey noises and it distracted us when we did our work . After a few days we put it back in the Tamiki river and we got a starfish instead . It was a better pet to have . It wouldn't distract us and so we were all happy with our new pet .
