The moon and farmer Mcphee

My favourite Margaret Mahy book is The Moon and Farmer Mcphee. 

It is about a farmer who has no fun.  He has dinner and brushes his teeth and goes to bed. One night he heard the wind whisper so he got up and looked out the window but he saw nothing so he went outside with his flash light and walked to the barn and told them off and the farm animals went to sleep and farmer Mcphee saw the moon and played with the sheep and the cows and the horses an even the pigs and he even slept with them. 

Margaret Mahy is the best story writer Ive ever known. She is good at writing and she is old but worth it It is sad that she died but we'll always remember her in spirit.
